The Oper8 Global Micro is designed with a unique air conditioning system. The self contained air conditioning unit does not require any pipework or external moto-condensing units as it is all built into the indoor unit.
Not only does this reduce the cost and speed of deployment, but it also increases security. Less external components mean less risk to mitigate.

Like most conventional IT racks, the Oper8 Micro DC uses 19” rack rails to accommodate standard Data Centre Hardware. To maximise efficiency of the smaller footprint, it is possible to add a further 6U to the side of the rails to mount switches, EMS, Fire Panels etc vertically. In total an additional 12U can be supported using the rails.
Environment Monitoring & DCIM
Let Oper8 Global’s EMS and DCIM systems monitor the environment to mitigate risk and keep you informed as to what is going on 24/7 where ever you are.
Not only is the environment monitored, but additional hardware (UPS/Fire etc.) is also able to be monitored, providing customers with an excellent overview of their IT estate in real-time, anywhere in the world.

A Micro Data Centre, or MicroDC, is a purpose-built data centre comprising one or more IT racks, integrated (and dedicated) cooling racks, with fully integrated systems typical of larger data centre facilities. RFCode delivers a range of wireless asset and environmental sensors that offer fast deployment both across centralised colocation and remote Edge sites.
Cost Effective Edge Visibility
Edge data centre locations, remote branch and edge compute nodes need to be visible from a central location. With a single RF Gateway and a few environmental sensors, you can quickly and cost effectively present remote site visibility with threshold alerting, dashboards and scheduled reports.
The CenterScape Portal is a web based GUI for managing the RFCode system, sensors, alert thresholds, database schema, RF Gateway connections, Dashboards, Reporting and Maps.
Fast Edge Site Deployment
Deploying an RF Gateway in a remote location is quick and easy:
- Configure the RF Gateway before sending it to site, including the uplink settings in CenterScape
- Ensure there’s a network connection to your CenterScape Portal at the remote site (this could be via the internet, WAN, 4G or 5G)
- The ‘uplink’ back to base configuration enables the RF Gateway to auto connect to the CenterScape Portal once it’s powered up and connected to the network at the remote site.
Pack a range of RFCode sensors and a site diagram (using a tool like Visio showing where the sensors are to be deployed) with the RF Gateway before shipping to the remote site. Use the same diagram as a Map background in CenterScape to view your remote site sensor data as soon as the RF Gateway connects to the CenterScape Portal.

Can Oper8 Global provide on-premise maintenance services?
Yes – we support Edge, Hybrid and HPC solutions whether at your premise, your colocation site or in one of our partner colocation sites.
Can Oper8 Global maintain our existing data centre?
Yes we can. Oper8 Global uses a combination of our own team with support from specialist partners and subcontractors as required.
What type of Asset Management do your provide?
Through our Partnerships with Oper8 (Australia) and RFCode, our online asset management solution includes wireless and infrared sensors that can track the locations of your key assets across racks, rooms and buildings. Using back-to-base data synchronisation you always know where your assets are physically located. The online portal provides quick access to registered users to quickly perform asset management functions.
Can you do Wireless Environmental Monitoring?
Yes – Oper8 Global uses the RFCode range of wireless environmental sensors to provide a multi-site, multi-room monitoring solution. The solution uses 433MHz wireless signals that are sensor ‘transmit only’ to RF Readers that are ‘receive only’. Wireless sensors are quick to deploy, and can cover temperature, humidity, air pressure, fluid detection, door open/close, dry contract, 4-20mA and 0-5V, and select PDU power sensors.
