Simon is a British National who has worked in the Data Centre arena for over 30 years throughout Europe, Middle -East and Asia Pacific. He has held various Senior Managerial positions in Data Centre Design and Data Centre implementation and has considerable knowledge in High Performance Computing where he has designed and implemented several Tier III and Tier IV designs.
Simon is a Graduate Electrical Engineer from Oxford University, a Chartered Engineer, who has also completed his MBA. Simon is an active member of a number of Data Centre professional groups including ASHRAE, Green Data Centre Alliance and Data Centre Professionals. He has undertaken formal training and education in the following fields: EMF/EMC, High Voltage Network Design, High Voltage and Low Voltage Design, Transformer Design, Static energy, Lightning protection, and High Performance Computing (HPC).
Simon has delivered numerous CDCP, CDCS, CDC and CDFOM Courses throughout the world where customers acknowledged his detailed knowledge and wealth of Data Centre experience.
Simon is an ANSI TIA 942 Lead Auditor and Designer following completion of both courses at Instructor Level.
Simon Gardner was instrumental in the design of Cisco Data Centre Amsterdam, Jersey Telecom Guernsey, Peugeot Citroen Paris, CNC Paris, ACS UK and worked on the Portuguese Telecom Project in Lisbon. He has recently designed and implemented a High Performance Computing Suite for INTEL Corporation in Germany comprising 16 racks of compute consuming 115K W per rack.
Simon has undertaken Data Centre Design work for IBM across EMEA, and is a welcome addition to the Oper8 Global Executive Management Team.
