Role Overview
Oper8 Global, as part of their planned expansion has an immediate vacancy for a Qualified Project Manager, ideally with a Construction background. Oper8 Global design and Build state-of-the-art Data Centre facilities for leading blue chip companies around the Globe. We have offices in the UK and Australia.
To ensure the project to build or refurbish a client’s Data Centre Facility is delivered to the design specification, on time and on budget. The Project Manager accomplishes project objectives by planning project activities; evaluating implementation, managing and controlling risk and reporting progress of project.
Main Duties & Responsibilites
- Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Produce and maintain a task tracker for follow-on action recommendations.
- Produce and maintain an acceptance record through ITP plan.
- Creates project initiation documentation for approval from the board.
- Review and approve the quality and risk register.
- Produce communication, risk and quality management strategies.
- Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Works closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project.
- Understands basic revenue models and P/L; meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a project budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Work with design and installation teams to produce work packages and document questions, liaise with business via email, IM or phone to get new requirements and explain feasibility.
- Maintain a project daily log.
- Maintain a lessons log.
- Approve and review the quality plan.
- Produce an exception plan if required.
- Submits project checkpoint reports to stakeholders; reviews progress; plans contingency actions; anticipates and reacts to change.
- Responsible for highlight reports, end of project reports and customer satisfaction surveys.
Requirements
- Competent in PRINCE 2 project methodology.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Clean, current drivers licence.
